According to the EU-Brazil Information Society Dialogue, the EU and Brazil need to engage more on a dialogue on cloud computing that addresses general cloud policy aspects, personal data protection, trans-Atlantic flows of data, portability of data, and appropriate remedies to vendor lock-in.
EUBrasilCloudFORUM is working to widen its database of collaboration stories in both the EU and Brazil, to map researchers and projects and deliver a better understanding of the status of ICT research in the two regions. The results will be used to draft a research Roadmap on cloud computing, identifying collaboration needs and opportunities between Europe and Brazil for the European Commission and MCTI, thus contributing to the definition of future cooperation priorities between the two regions.
Play your role in the EU-Brazilian dialogue in ICT, have your say:
1. Explain how the technical work and cross-border demonstrations that you are carrying out address issues such as flows of data, portability of data, data protection and privacy and, in general, cloud computing policy aspects relevant for the future cooperation priorities between the two regions
2. Provide information/evidence regarding the hurdles in these areas and recommendations for further actions either in research or policy
