Com o Communication on the data-driven economy (COM(2014)442 final), a Comissão Europeia (EC) aponta para acelerar a transição para o mercado digital único, em que a computação na nuvem, big data, ciber segurança,  5G e Internet das Coisas são consideradas tecnologias base para a sua construção. No Brasil, a Estratégia Nacional para a Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação (ENCTI) promove a Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação como eixo de suporte para o crecimento económico e social do país. O seu Programa Estratégico para o Software e Serviços em TI, conhecido como o projeto “TI Maior (Major/Bigger IT)”, reconhece a Cumputação na Nuvem e Big Data como duas principais forças dirigentes para a economia Brasileira, estando assim alinhado com a visão do CE. É por isso que este ano no Cloudscape Brazil  se está a apresentar “Trustworthy cloud & big data services from research to market” para demonstrar a força deste mercado nas duas regiões e como a colaboração produtiva transatlantica é chave para acelerar a inovação.

Um diálogo com a Europa. Um objetivo primário do Cloudscape Brazil  deste ano é o de assegurar um intercâmbio produtivo entre institutos de investigação e empresas que são ativos na configuração de uma economia habilitada por investigação na Europa de Computação na Nuvem e Big Data. Representantes de projetos Europeus de investigação, financiados pela Comissão Europeia, irão participar para apresentar resultados de ponta e Open Source Software disponivel no CloudWATCH2 Service Offer catalogue, e que podem servir como uma referência para construir o mercado, novo em folha,  EUBrasilCloudFORUM. Os Clusters dos Projetos Europeus sobre a Nuvem, irão ter uma oportunidade única para partilhar tendências nos mercados Europeus, como estão a responder à procura para a próxima onda de computação na nuvem, e também criarem novas sinergias de colaboração.

O Palco para as PMEs. PMEs Europeias, serão convidadas a explicar como acabaram por fornecer serviços que estão a emergir de projetos de investigação Europeus de primeira classe. As suas lições aprendidas serão úteis para todas as start-ups Brasileiras alojadas nos aceleradores  CATI-certified (o Comité de Informação e Tecnologia Brasileiro)  que, desde 2016, podem candidatar-se a financiamento H2020 e colaboração MCTI e que são também parte desta agenda.

Session 1: An intercontinental resource pool for trustworthy cloud services and stories of adoption

What services, tools and software components have come from past funded EU-Brazil collaborative research projects so far?

The session is all about showcasing results and assets from joint EU-Brazil research and innovation initiatives. Coordinators and end-users from current projects will not only showcase innovations in cloud computing and big data services, but also zoom in on experiences and new knowledge creation over the past few years to help measure the impact of international co-operation so far. The session also includes discussions on bilateral initiatives between Europe and Brazil and what we might or should see in the years to come.

Session 3: From Europe to Brazil: Free tools and services for easier cloud adoption - session co-organized with CloudWATCH2

Cloud computing is a key enabler for emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things and Data Science. It is continuously driving the vast spectrum of both current and emerging applications, products, and services. Mobile phones and tablets are now used more than desktops to access Internet as business and habits change. SMEs are adapting to this new reality. Cloud services are providing amazing opportunities for and giving the opportunity for businesses to be agile allowing them to adapt business plans to changing circumstances. This session showcases secure and interoperable services which can improve the lives of SMEs. From services to understand cloud contracts and actually write SLAs to solutions to helping bring together developers and users in a collaborative environment.
