Cloudscape Brazil & WCN 2017 post event report
The memorable takeaways of the EUBrasilcloudFORUM annual event are now available, en route to consolidate a transatlantic digital market
The 4th edition of Cloudscape Brazil, combined with the second edition of the Workshop on Cloud Networks (WCN), took place on 5-6 July 2017, co-located with the annual Conference of the Brazilian Computing Society (CSBC), in São Paulo (Brazil). It proved to be a key turning point in market uptake of research & innovation results, with an emphasis on promoting business partnerships between innovative SMEs and research consortia from Europe and Brazil. (Meet some of these SMEs in our EUBrasilCloudFORUM Marketplace.)
The event showcased practical tools for easier cloud adoption underpinned by successful transatlantic collaboration, and lively debates around concrete sustainability and exploitation models of tools and services resulting from successful transatlantic cooperation. It was also the opportunity to debate about common standards and legal frameworks on security, privacy and data protection, to speed up the digital market and economy. The event also laid witness to the formation of a Special Interest Group (SIG) on Cloud Computing within the Brazilian Computing Society (SBC), to be created this year.
The outcomes of the two day event, including some concrete takeaways are summarized in this post-event report.
